About Sunday Labs

Every engagement has a founder behind it.

Sunday Labs is small on purpose. We take on a limited number of clients so that every project is scoped, reviewed and signed off personally by the people who started the company.

A note from the founder

Why I still sit in every project.

I have spent more than a decade building engineering teams and platforms, most of it in fintech across India and Indonesia. I led payments engineering at Indifi, ran the entire engineering function at AwanTunai and served as CTO for digital businesses at Sinar Mas. I know what it means to own production systems that move real money, and to answer to a board for the results.

Along the way I watched a lot of consulting engagements fail in the same way. A senior partner wins the deal, a junior team does the work, and the client ends up with a deck instead of a working system. When I started Sunday Labs in 2023, I promised myself we would never run a project like that.

So here is how it works. I scope every engagement myself. I review the architecture, the demos and the evaluation results every week. My number is on your escalation list. And nothing goes into production for a client until I have looked at it. That is not a sales line. It is the reason we stay small, and it is why the teams we work with keep coming back.

If you are serious about making AI and data work in your business, I would love to hear what you are building.

Founder-led, always

What that means on your project.

Five commitments that come with every Sunday Labs engagement, from a two-week discovery sprint to a multi-year managed service.

I scope every engagement myself

Before a proposal goes out, I have sat with your team, looked at the data and agreed on the one metric that defines success.

I review the work every week

Architecture decisions, demos and evaluation results come across my desk weekly. Nothing ships that I would not put my own name on.

You have my direct line

My number sits at the top of your escalation matrix, not at the bottom. If something is wrong, you talk to me.

No bait and switch

The senior people you meet in the pitch are the people who do the work. We do not hand projects to a junior bench.

I sign off before production

Every release that touches your customers or your data gets a final review from me before it goes live.

The founders

Two people who answer for every outcome.

  • Hands-on, not advisory. The lead writes code, designs the architecture and reviews every pull request.
  • Scale thinking from day one. Reliability, security and cost are designed in, not bolted on later.
  • The same people, start to finish. The engineers you meet in scoping are the ones who ship to production.
  • Personally vetted. Every engineer is interviewed by the founders before joining a client project.

Company names describe where our engineers have previously worked. Sunday Labs is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
