Sunday Is Now Sunday Labs: A New Name for Our AI Consulting
Our AI and data consulting business is now Sunday Labs. Same team, same founder-led way of working, and a name that says how we work.
From today, our AI and data consulting business is called Sunday Labs. It has a new name, a new website at sundaylabs.io and its own identity. The team, the clients and the way we work stay exactly the same.
This post explains why we made the change, what Sunday Labs does and what it means if you already work with us.
Why the name Sunday Labs
A lab is where things get built and tested until they work. That is the job we do. Our engineers design, build and run AI and data systems inside real businesses, and we judge our work by what reaches production, not by what goes into a slide deck.
Most AI programmes stall somewhere between a promising pilot and a working system that the business actually uses. The model is rarely the problem. The data is scattered, the workflow around the system has not changed, and nobody owns the outcome. We fix those three things and we stay until the result shows up. "Labs" is a name that matches that work.
What Sunday Labs does
We are a small, senior team that works across the whole path from idea to production. Our work covers:
- AI strategy and roadmaps: finding the use cases worth doing first and sizing the value.
- GenAI applications and AI agents: assistants and agents that read your documents, use your tools and hand off to people when they should.
- Data platforms and engineering: pipelines, lakehouses and the data quality work that everything else depends on.
- Analytics, machine learning and MLOps: forecasting, scoring and decision support, deployed and monitored properly.

How we work
Two things set the way we work apart.
First, every engagement is led by a founder. I scope each project myself, review the work every week and sign off before anything goes to production. Saumya Suman, our co-founder, runs delivery and operations.
Second, the people in the room are senior. The lead engineer or architect on every project has built and run systems at companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Uber or Meta. We keep teams small on purpose, so the people who scope the work are the people who do it. You can read more about the team on our about page.
What changes for our clients
Only the name. If you already work with us:

- Your projects continue on the same plan and timeline.
