Application Security & DevSecOps

Ship secure code without slowing your teams down.

We build security into how your teams design, write and release software, with automated checks in the pipeline and senior review where it matters. Developers get findings they can fix in minutes, not a report at the end of the quarter.

The problem

Why application security so often stalls.

01

Tools that cry wolf

Scanners flood developers with false positives, so real issues get ignored along with the noise.

02

Open source you cannot see

Most of your code is third-party libraries. Few teams know which versions they run or which ones have known vulnerabilities.

03

Secrets in the repository

API keys and passwords end up in code, config files and CI logs, and stay in the git history long after they are removed.

04

Security as a release blocker

A late review finds a serious flaw days before launch, and the choice is between delay and accepting the risk.

What we deliver

Security in every stage of delivery.

We fit into the tools and pipelines your teams already use and tune every check until developers trust it.

01

Secure SDLC

Security requirements, threat modelling and review gates added to your existing development process, sized to the risk of each change.

  • Threat modelling
  • Requirements
  • Review gates
02

Static and dynamic testing

SAST on every pull request and DAST against running builds, tuned to cut false positives and block only real problems.

03

Dependencies, SBOM and supply chain

Software composition analysis, SBOMs for every build, signed artefacts and controls on what enters your pipeline.

04

Secrets scanning in CI/CD

Secrets caught before they are committed and in CI logs, existing leaks found in history and rotated safely.

How we deliver

From first scan to a secure pipeline.

We start where the risk is highest and add checks your developers will keep switched on.

Always included

  • A named senior lead who stays with you from scoping to retest
  • Every finding ranked by risk, with clear fix guidance and a retest once you have fixed it
  • Reports, configurations and runbooks documented and owned by you
  • A founder reviewing the work every week, and an NDA signed before we touch anything

Typical tools

  • Semgrep
  • SonarQube
  • Snyk
  • OWASP ZAP
  • Trivy
  • Gitleaks
  • Syft
  • GitHub Actions

  • First SAST, SCA and secrets scans
  • Ranked list of critical issues
02
Weeks 2 to 3

Design the pipeline

Which checks run where, what blocks a release and who owns each finding.

  • Tool choices with trade-offs
  • Severity thresholds and exception process
  • Ownership and SLAs for fixing findings
03
Weeks 3 to 8

Embed and tune

Checks added to your pipelines and tuned with your developers.

  • Scanning in pull requests and builds
  • False positives cut and rules adjusted
  • Secure code review of high-risk services

Your teams own the practice, with our support where they need it.

  • Developer training and security champions
  • Regular review of findings and trends
  • Ongoing code review and pipeline support

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot.

Will security checks slow down our releases?
They should not, if they are set up well. Fast checks run on every pull request, slower ones run in parallel or overnight, and only high-confidence, high-severity findings block a release. We tune rules with your developers until the checks are trusted rather than bypassed.
What is the difference between SAST, DAST and SCA?
SAST reads your source code to find flaws such as injection or unsafe functions. DAST tests the running application from the outside, the way an attacker would. SCA checks the open source libraries you depend on for known vulnerabilities and licence issues. Each catches problems the others miss, so most teams need all three.
Do we need an SBOM?
Increasingly, yes. A software bill of materials lists every component in your software, which lets you answer quickly when a new vulnerability is announced. Some customers, regulators and government buyers now ask for one, and producing it automatically in your pipeline costs very little.
Can you work with our existing tools?
Yes. We are tool agnostic and start with what you already pay for, including GitHub Advanced Security, GitLab or SonarQube. We only suggest new tools where there is a clear gap.
A secret has leaked into our git history. What should we do?
Rotate it first, because removing it from history does not undo the exposure. Then check logs for any use of the leaked credential, clean the history if needed and add scanning so it does not happen again. We can help with each step.
